Studies have linked obesity to skipping breakfast. Strange, we all think eating less will lead to losing weight.

Well this is not true, because weight loss is not about eating less or depriving yourself from nutrition.

It is important to understand that our body produces hormones that help us stay healthy, and when you deprive yourself from nutrition your body will lose its hormone balance which will lead to bad health.

Leptin is the hormone that helps us control our eating habit. It is called also obesity- hormone or fat- hormone.

Simply Leptin controls your eating by sending signals to your brain telling you when to eat and when to stop.

When your brain does not get the order to stop, you will keep on eating and eating and this is how you will put on weight.

Skipping breakfast will deprive your body the nutrition that it needs to produce Lepitin and other hormones, and once your Lepitin level is affected you will end up eating more.

And this is how exactly sumo wrestlers in Japan put on weight; they skip breakfast and start training at mid day they feel very hungry and this enable them to eat more which will lead to weight gain.

Have you noticed that when you skip meals you end up eating more? When you take breakfast you will end up eating light lunch and vice versa.

That is why skipping breakfast lead to weight gain.

Most people skip breakfast because they take heavy dinner which is not good for their health. Taking three light meals is the way to go and this is how you train your body to eat less.

You need to provide your body with nutrition so hormone balance is not disturbed and you can achieve this by not skipping breakfast.

I realized that I eat more at lunch if I skip breakfast. I thought if I skip it I will be eating less, but I proved myself wrong.

Another discovery I made is that when I skip breakfast, my lunch keeps me full for 3 hours only. While when I take breakfast my lunch keeps me full for 4-1/2 hours.

For breakfast to be healthy it must contain protein, cereal and bread is not enough to help you maintain healthy Lepitin level.
