Losing Weight Fast: Liposuction

When it comes to losing weight we want it fast. Losing the extra fat today rather than tomorrow is all we want when we think of slimming down.

We have no patients when it comes to shaping our body. Exercise is the most effective way to slim down, but it is not fast.

To lose 100 grams of body fat you need to exercise for at least one hour, that is exactly running for a distance of 8 kilometers.

Saying that does not mean we can’t lose body fat fast, it all depends on how much money you are ready to spend and how much pain you are ready to take.

Everyday thousands of women around the world choose invasive methods to lose weight fast, Liposuction which was introduced in in 1970 is the safest method available shaping your body the way you want,  if you are favoring invasive method to lose weight..

Liposuction is effective for removing stubborn and unwanted fat from:

  1. Arms.
  2. The abdomen.
  3. Thigh.
  4. Upper part of buttock.

When liposuction was introduced, the procedure required insertion of a tube called cannula around the targeted area to break the fat and then sucking it out.

Now with improvements a vibrating cannula is used or high pressure water jet in jet-assisted liposuction..

You can also choose to melt your body fat with laser or high-frequency sound waves known as ultrasonic- assisted liposuction.

To understand how Liposuction works we need we need to know the different layers of fat. First layer of fat is exactly under the skin which is easy to remove because it has no blood vessels.

Then comes Visceral fat and it is the layer of fat that is deeper below the fat that is under the skin. For each layer of fat different size of cannula is used.

Liposuction can’t remove all Visceral fat, especially those around the organ and in the stomach area.

Earlier on it was not possible to remove 5 liter of fat in one session because of amount of blood is lost during liposuction with improvements and 25 years later it is possible.

Main attraction of Liposuction is that there is no major side effects if it is done by an experienced doctor.

Studies published in 2009 indicates that complications such as low blood pressure , bleeding occurred in only 9 cases out of 660 cases of Ultrasonic-assisted Liposuction. Ultrasonic used to turn fat into liquid which then will be sucked out of the body.

Ultrasonic- assisted Liposuction is the most popular and cost more than water jet-assisted but you can achieve the same result with less cost with traditional liposuction.

Since losing weight with Liposuction depends on the machine used, it is important to know that choosing experienced doctor who is qualified to do Liposuction is important to achieve satisfactory results. Liposuction cost  starts from AED24,500 to AED36,800 for losing 5 liter of fat.

Full medical examination is necessary before being accepted for Liposuction, being healthy with no medical condition such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Liposuction is not for obese since it does not remove fats that is deep under the skin, it is more for pockets of fat here and there and you are have difficulty removing them.

If your BMI reading is of 35 and more you might not be accepted as a healthy candidate for the procedure.

But after losing 3-5 kilograms of body fat you can go for Liposuction to sculpt your body and put it in good shape.

It is very difficult to know how much fat you will lose during the process it depends on your height, weight and overall fitness.

For removing small amount of fat – less than 3 liters – no staying in hospital is needed, removing three liters and more requires hospital stay for observation.

Liposuction is not only for women,  men with large breast can benefit from the procedure to get rid of it since it will take long time to flatten it through exercise.

In general Liposuction is effective in targeting pockets of fat in the body that is difficult to remove even with exercise.
